Well I am sad to report that I’m giving up the Yoplait Two Week Tune-Up after just two short days. As I initially suspected (but chose to ignore) the diet caused not only major boredom, but quite a bit of indigestion. I thought it would be great to eat cereal and yogurt every day, but actually I found myself feeling sluggish. I liked eating cereal twice a day, but the yogurt had quite a bit of “extras” in it that made my head spin. I still want to continue to eat yogurt daily, but it’s much more enjoyable when it’s not forced.
That being said, I feel it must be noted how much I hate strict diets. I’ll cut calories as much as the next person, but being forced to consume certain foods every day can make a person crazy. For example, think about crazy cayenne pepper and maple syrup cleanse for instance. How appetizing does it sound to consume maple syrup daily? Okay, for pancake lovers, it probably sounds great, but for someone who tries to stay relatively active, not being able to eat veggies and fruit sounds horrible.
All of this being said, I still urge everyone to try this, but it just wasn’t for me. I’ll stick to eating small portion meals five times a day!
