Last weekend, my friend Brianna and I made our first (well, her second) trip to Naticakes at the Suncrest Towne Centre. Sidebar, but have you ever noticed how places throw an ‘e’ to the end of stuff? I guess they think it makes it seem fabulous. That must make my name double fabulous.

Anyway, I saw on the Towne Centre’s website that this place was coming a few months back and decided I had to know for sure. I cannot be teased with frozen yogurt. I emailed the owner, Nicole, and was so excited when she emailed me back, confirming the shop would indeed be coming to Morgantown! Not only was I impressed (and thankful) she emailed me back, but when I visited the shop for the first time, she came right up and greeted us. After chatting  for a minute, she figured I was the froyo-crazed girl who emailed her. So nice! I promised her I’d be back in (once a week, if my waistline can handle it) and I would get some photos of her beautifully decorated place.

This picture doesn’t even begin to do the place justice.

So what does Naticakes serve? Well, the Morgantown location serves the following frozen yogurt flavors:

  • Red Velvet (feature flavor)
  • Milk Chocolate
  • Country Vanilla
  • Peanut Butter
  • Dulce de Leche
  • Cake Batter
  • Peach Mango Tart
  • Original Tart
  • Pomegranate Raspberry Sorbet
  • Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet

After you try to decide what flavor to get (or what combo!!!) you’re faced with the next myriad of options: toppings. Heath Bar, Butterfinger, Snickers, granola, peanuts, yogurt covered nuts, sprinkles, and about a million other different options stare you down. Too good. For my visit, I went with a peanut butter/cake batter combo with Heath bar, Butterfinger, and granola. So amazing. My next mission? Red velvet and dulce de leche! Oh, did I mention cupcakes will be served sometime later in January? Don’t even get me started on the flavor list for those bad boys.

As if all of these sweets weren’t enough to sell you on this place, the fact that ten percent of the profits from Naticakes will be given to support the ongoing efforts of the Natalie Wynn Carter Foundation should do the trick. This foundation is committed to improving the lives of children throughout the world and means quite a bit to the owner. Find out more at the Naticakes About page.

So, do yourself a favor and stop by Naticakes at the Suncrest Towne Centre this weekend. You won’t be sorry!

My Healthy Tip of the Day: Eat more frozen yogurt. It’s too good not to be full of good-for-you stuff!
