I’m a big fan of the chocolate and hazelnut spread Nutella, so when I actually break down and buy a jar, I try to keep it on a top shelf. (I’m 5 foot 3…and a half.) Of course this never works, because I always manage to convince myself that I deserve “just one spoonful” and find a chair to stand on. A few mornings ago, I wanted an excuse to eat it, but the commercial where the mom smears it on toast doesn’t convince me that it’s entirely in my waistline’s best interest. So my solution? Put it in oatmeal! Oatmeal is always a justification for eating something sweet in the morning, because it does such a good job at filling me up.
Sorry for the poor quality, but I swear it isn’t as gross as it looks! I put in 1/2 cup of oats, 3/4ish cup of almond milk and 1 1/2 tablespoons of Nutella. Microwave for 2:15 and enjoy!
Even though my cats disapprove, I still highly recommend this yummy breakfast treat for anyone who loves dessert-like breakfasts.
