Recently a co-worker of mine informed me that her husband brought home a box of Peanut Butter Cheerios. I thought she was joking at first, because the idea seems too good to be true. I didn’t think Cheerios could actually top their decision to market chocolate Cheerios, but there they go surprising me. Anyway, I picked up a box at Walmart and cracked open the box before I was even out of the parking lot. I immediately loved it, but noticed a familiarity in the taste. Then it hit me. This flavor of Cheerios tasted like the peanut butter Reese’s Puffs! I couldn’t believe that I was actually munching on something that tasted so much like my favorite childhood cereal.
After I controlled my appetite and focused on driving, (and cops think they should be worried about texting, ha) I started thinking about how amazing it would be to combine the chocolate with the peanut butter Cheerios to make the perfect healthy spin on Reese’s Puffs! Now I’m sure the combo won’t be perfect, as I’ve noted that the chocolate ones taste more like Cocoa Puffs, but I just know that this cereal creation is bound to be a winner.
God I love food.
