Red Pepper Hummus

I love hummus, but sometimes I need a little flavor. I threw this recipe together one afternoon and ended up eating it for days. The best thing about hummus is it’s versatility.

  • 1 16 oz can of garbanzo beans
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 medium sized red bell pepper, cut into halves or 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 fresh lime, juiced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until you’ve achieved your preferred consistency.
